Our Office Manager

Stella Armstrong was born and raised in Austin, Texas. After graduating high school in 1979, she began a summer job in the Travis County Clerk’s office. Ms. Armstrong dedicated her next 28 years to Travis County; she finally retired in 2008 after accepting a position with the McMinn Law Firm.
During her long tenure with Travis County, Ms. Armstrong worked for several county judges as a court clerk in both misdemeanor and felony courts handling many criminal dockets. In 1999, Ms. Armstrong became a court coordinator for Judge Wilford Aguilar, County Court at Law #5. When Judge Aguilar retired in 2000, Judge Gisela Triana ran for County Court at Law #5 and won the election. Ms. Armstrong was honored when Judge Triana asked her to stay as her court coordinator. After working for Judge Triana for four years, Ms. Armstrong was asked by Judge Hohengarten to continue as court coordinator for County Court at Law #5 when she won the election in 2004. In 2007, Governor Rick Perry appointed Judge Melissa Goodwin to the new 427th District Court in Travis County. Judge Goodwin asked Ms. Armstrong to be the court coordinator for the 427th District Court. She remained there until 2008 when she was hired by the McMinn Law Firm to serve as Office Manager.
Throughout her 28 years in the Travis County Court system, Ms. Armstrong gained extensive knowledge into the criminal court system. Ms. Armstrong has built upon those experiences at the McMinn Law Firm, where she helps coordinate the criminal docket and handle discovery for civil cases.
